The Goblin Queen, also known as Madelyne Pryor, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Paul Smith, the character first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #168 (April 1983). She is primarily featured as an antagonist of the X-Men, and has been associated with various teams and aliases throughout her comic book history, including the X-Men, Hellfire Club, Sisterhood of Mutants, and Dark X-Men

Madelyne Pryor was originally introduced as a love interest for Cyclops, and was even married to him for a time. However, it was later revealed that she was a clone of Jean Grey, created by the villain Mr. Sinister. After learning of her true origins and suffering the loss of her child, Madelyne turned to the Goblin King, a demon from Limbo, for power. She became the Goblin Queen, and has since been a thorn in the side of the X-Men.

The Goblin Queen is a powerful sorceress with a variety of magical abilities. She is also telepathic and telekinetic, and has access to the demonic dimension of Limbo. She is a formidable opponent for the X-Men, and has proven to be a cunning and ruthless foe.
